Reports earlier this week that Paramount Global had agreed to an $8 billion acquisition offer from Skydance Media were premature. Shari Redstone, President of parent company National Amusements, is said to be unhappy with the current slew of offers, per multiple reports. Either way, a deal is coming, and with Skydance Media leading the pack, the beginning of the end for Hollywood is nearing – as the big five studios consolidate towards a future where just four, three, possibly even two major studios remain.
