Xperi, in its pure product and services form following the spin-off of the licensing business as Adeia in Q4 2022, has announced customer wins at CES 2023 covering the much-anticipated TiVo OS, as well as chipset integrations, plus deals for the DTS immersive audio technology and IMAX Enhanced. Still, however, the elephant in the room (or, rather, not in the room) is Vewd Software. An ominous and prolonged silence from the smart TV middleware developer, following Xperi’s $109 million acquisition in summer 2022, is palpable.
