Sling TV once again offset an inconsequential number of Dish Network video subscribers during the last quarter, to the tune of just 16,000 gains, a sharp fall from the 203,000 Sling TV subs added in Q3 2020. This poor fourth quarter performance puts Sling TV in the minus for 2020 – with these 219,000 sign-ups in the second half of the year not enough to recoup the 337,000 lost in the first half. While Sling TV has shown signs of a small resurgence over the last couple of quarters, buoyed by the return of live sports, the board at Dish Network must be bashing their heads onto their home office desks wondering why and how Sling TV has missed out…
