Satellite network operator SES has announced that it has expanded its partnership with Amazon Web Services. The pair have collaborated for a few years now, but the latest feature is a direct connection to the AWS Cloud environment, meaning SES users won’t have to use VPNs to route traffic. The gist of the new deal is that business customers should be able to simplify their cloud computing operations, thanks to the new AWS Direct Connect partner status. For SES, this makes its satellite-powered broadband offerings that much more attractive to such business clients.
