A report out this week from IHS claims that Apple is now in third place in the global set top market based on revenues in 2015. First and foremost, Apple TV devices are not set tops in the sense that you cannot watch traditional linear TV on the devices, and secondly, claims such as these made by research firms are simply desperate attempts at sucking up to the world’s largest company.
