Disney is expected to massively overpay to take 100% ownership of Hulu, just like the company did for 21st Century Fox three years ago, when it paid $71.3 billion for the network and studio assets. With Disney valuing 100% of Hulu at $27.5 billion, and Comcast valuing the streaming platform at $60 billion, a bitter standoff has begun between the two Hulu owners. The only reprieve for Disney is that Comcast is contractually obliged to sell its 33% stake to the House of Mouse, preventing an outside bidder coming in with an overinflated price.
