Verizon’s Go90 and the coming Apple TV OTT video service are among the two largest players chasing the OTT opportunity in the US, which is perhaps why they are both early targets of a Kudelski Group suit over patents. Kudelski subsidiaries OpenTV and Nagra are suing Verizon and its recently acquired subsidiary AOL, in a suit claiming seven patent infringements – filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas – the natural home of most US patent disputes.
