Just three months ago, a consortium of smallish Spanish operators quietly formed a united front to defend against the changing media landscape in Spain, together launching a new OTT video offering called Zapi TV. Anything resembling modesty has since dissipated and now the start-up service aims to bag 600,000 subscribers in Q1 2020 with a multi-platform approach that includes Android TV operator tier set tops.
