Vivendi is willing to sell off its 23.15% stake in Telecom Italia to fund the takeover of Italian broadcaster Mediaset, according to anonymous Bloomberg sources close to the proceedings. Orange is currently the rumored favorite to acquire Vivendi’s $3.23 billion valued holding in Telecom Italia, but the French operator has repeatedly denied any interest.
