The Great Rights Repatriation War has ratcheted up a gear this week, as Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) has filed suit against Paramount, alleging that Paramount is not honoring a $500 million licensing deal for South Park. The next few years will be full of such disputes, but perhaps none will feature content as on-the-nose as this. Filed in the New York state Supreme Court, WBD claims that Paramount is steering specials and other content to the Paramount+ service.
