Norwegian HTML5 SDK specialist Vewd has upped its stakes in the relatively untapped market of connected cars – lifting the hood on a new white-label infotainment platform for the automotive sector. While this is not Vewd’s first foray into the connected car sector, claiming its software already has presence in 10 million cars, the issue with in-car video streaming platforms tailored for built-in displays mounted into headrests, is that a BYOD world has largely discouraged major investments in the space.
